Live music venue checklist
Certain conditions must exist before live music can be a viable option for your venue. If these conditions are not in place, you must consider making sure they are, or live music will not work profitably in your establishment.
- Can a stage be placed without blocking fire exits, or creating a traffic problem with serving staff?
- Is your venue location in a neighborhood sensitive to sound volume issues?
- If so, do you have a sufficient air handling system to allow for closed doors and windows during all seasons?
- Is your venue location in an area sensitive to late hours of operation?
- Do you have a "load-in" area for musicians that does not create a traffic hazard or other legal violation?
Once these conditions are met, live music could be a viable option for your establishment!
